Growing the Game

It's been a busy month for Youth1st Lacrosse working with Long Plain, Sandy Bay, The Pas, Manitoba First Nation Education Resource Centre, Women's Box Lacrosse, Windsor Park Collegiate, and Gladstone, Manitoba. Lots of great things happening for the game of lacrosse all over Manitoba!

In the new year we will once again be starting up our Senior Men's Lacrosse Night at Gateway Recreation Centre, expanding into new communities, and start planning for this year's Canada Day Lax Bash at The Forks. We are hoping to see new communities come out and challenge the defending champs - Long Plain First Nation for the Two Rivers Cup.

It was great to hear that lacrosse has finally been recognized as a podium sport at the Olympics! Big congrats to the Federation of International Lacrosse for all the years of hard work that has gone into this and sticking with your vision!

Big thanks to Manitoba Aboriginal Sports and Recreation Council and Sports Xpress for the continued support.

Looking forward to great things to come for our game!

Wishing everyone a great holiday season and catching up in the new year!

Lax for Life!
