We are very excited to announce that last year's champions Long Plain First Nation will be returning this year to defend their title. Roseau River First Nation will also be returning along with the addition of Portage La Prairie. Teams will be competing for the Two Rivers Cup as we celebrate our National Summer Sport in partnership with Parks Canada at The Forks National Historic Site.

Last year, The Forks saw approximately 100,000 people on Canada Day and this year we hope you’ll be part of our vision to continue this annual celebration of lacrosse.

The event will take place as follows:

12:45-1:00 - Team Registration / Ballot box prize entry (open to all in attendance)

1:00-1:30 - Introduction to Lacrosse workshop for family members of all ages / Open field toss around for laxers of all ages, while listening to some great Canadian Rock! (wear your favourite jersey / sports apparel)

1:30-2:00 - Honour Song - Carson Robinson - Sagkeeng First Nation

- Opening Remarks - Barb and Clarence Nepinak - Pine Creek First Nation

- National Anthem - New Sum (Guy Abraham and Jamie Lillie)

2:00-3:00 - The U14 Challengers' Match - Portage La Prairie vs Roseau River First Nation

3:00-4:00 - The U14 Two Rivers Cup Trophy Match - Winner of game 1 vs Long Plain First Nation

(last year’s champions)

4:00-5:00 - Prizes and traditional stick draw

Should there be lightning, teams will meet for 3:00 at:

Notre Dame Arena

Avenue de la Cathedrale

Please feel free to reach out should you like to get involved!

Together we can continue to grow the sport we love and further educate Manitobans about Creator's Game.
